Ali S. Mainayar, OD, joined Northwest Eye Surgeons in 2020. His area of interests include providing pre- and postoperative care, medical eye care, and advanced dry eye treatment at the Seattle clinic. Dr. Mainayar is an Eastside-area native. Upon graduating from Illinois College of Optometry in 2019, he traveled to New York City to complete his residency in ocular disease.
In his free time, Dr. Mainayar enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, two dogs, and cat. He is a novice outdoor enthusiast and enjoys identifying native Northwest plants while hiking. You may spot him walking around Lake Washington, on the tennis courts, or enjoying Seahawks and Sounders games.

Previous Experience
As part of his residency training, Dr. Mainayar trained in the diagnosis and management of Inherited Retinal Diseases utilizing electrodiagnositc and genetic testing. Concurrently during his residency training, Dr. Mainayar provided medical eye care at Woodhull Hospital.
